The CMT Wiki

The Centre for Music Technology runs a Wiki Server located at http://markov.music.gla.ac.uk/cmt-wiki

A Wiki is a publically editable web site, and a very powerful tool for collaborative writing. Although the Wiki Way is to allow free editing of all contents, there are now people who launch vandalous attacks on Wiki pages by using scripts to insert material of a commercial or offensive nature. Because of frequent such attacks on this site, we now require that you be a "known" user before you modify any of the pages.

Registering is a matter of supplying a WikiName (a "BumpyWord" which contains upper and lower case letters within it), a password and an email address. My WikiName is NickBailey.

We all very much hope that this imposition will not discourage genuine users from creating logins and using the Wiki as before. When doing so, please remember that your login and password is stored on our server and therefore necessarily available to privilidged users at this site. Please do not use passwords of any value (even though we are lovely people).
