- February 2003 IEEE set to adopt new Distributed-MIDI-based protocol. Phil Kerr's Distributed MIDI has been accepted by the IEEE towards adoption as in international standard, and the group are also working on increasing the acceptance of high-quality audio delivery over the internet using open standards. - August 2002: We are worried about future patent and copyright legislation. Nick Bailey wrote an easy to understand but thourough critic including proposals for future legislation. "Policy Statement on Software Patents"
- Summer 2002: We are participating in 2 European project proposals for Centres fo Excellence.

- June 2002: MusicWeb has been succesfull in acquiring new funding to continue its work on music-educational web-based learning technologies. Watch this space.
